Years ago when Ben and I lived in Bolivia, my Mum and his parents and brother came out to visit us for a week, so we went travelling to the touristy parts of the country. On our way we passed many elegant llamas and some magnificent hills and mountains covered in natural salt. This painting doesn’t do justice to the beauty of the place but the simplicity of the plain outstretched land struck me while we were there – there was no artificial decoration; nothing man-made – it was such a beautifully natural place. The simplicity and bare lines and colours on this picture represent the simple, bare natural beauty that we saw on our trip.
Acrylic on stretched canvas (sides painted), ready to hang.
Have a wonderful week!
